Cheesy Herb Biscuits

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp dark brown sugar firmly packed
  • 1/4 cup Mariposa Farms Fresh Chives rinsed and chopped
  • 3 tbsp Mariposa Farms Fresh Parsley rinsed and chopped
  • 1 tsp Mariposa Farms Fresh Thyme rinsed and chopped leaves
  • 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese grated
  • 1 lg egg beaten
  • 3/4 cup milk

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Prep a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl mix the dry ingredients, stir in the herbs and 1 cup of the cheddar cheese.
  • In a small bowl whisk together the eggs and milk. Pour the egg mixture over the dry ingredients in the large bowl, stir until combined.
  • Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured area, pat the dough into a 2 inch thick circle. Using a biscuit cutter, cut out each biscuit and place on the parchment paper. Brush each biscuit with a little milk and top with the remaining cheddar cheese. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 16-20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove the pan from the oven and place biscuits on a serving plate. ENJOY!
