Sausage Balls - Creole Style
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground pork sausage mild or hot
- 2 1/4 cup biscuit mix
- 2 tbsp Mariposa Farms Fresh Chives chopped
- 2 tsp creole seasoning
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 2-3 tbsp mustard of your choice (we suggest creole mustard if available)
- 2 tbsp onion minced
- 2 tbsp celery finely chopped
- 1 1/2 cups sharp cheddar cheese shredded
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line 2 cookie sheets with parchment paper.
- Mix together biscuit mix, chives and creole seasoning.
- Add in sausage, onion, celery, mustard and buttermilk. Mix well. This may take a bit if work, but it will eventually all work in. Once this is mixed well, add cheese and mix again.
- Roll into one inch balls and place about an inch apart on cookie sheets. Bake for 23 minutes or until golden.
