Bacon and Dill Corn Bread

Delicious, fluffy corn bread- a perfect warm side dish for any occasion!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup yellow cornmeal
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 8 slices crisp cooked bacon crumbled
  • 2 tbsp Mariposa Farms Fresh Baby Dill Finely Chopped
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter melted
  • 1 egg

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 425 F
  • In a bowl, combine the flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder and salt.
  • Add crumbled bacon and dill and mix thoroughly.
  • In another bowl mix the milk, oil and egg until well blended.
  • Stir the liquid into the cornmeal mixture until just combined.
  • Spoon the batter into a greased 8" by 8" square pan.
  • Bake 20 minutes or until golden brown.
