Saffron Rice
A simple side dish that will become a family favorite!
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/3 cup onion diced
- 1 cup uncooked long grain white rice
- 2 cups water
- 1 1/2 tsp Mariposa Farms Fresh Italian Flat Parsley chopped
- 1/4 tsp Mariposa Farms Saffron threads
Melt butter over medium heat in a saucepan. Add onion. Cook until the onion is translucent. Reduce heat and cook until onion is dark brown in color and very tender.
Add rice and stir well. Stir in water, parsley and saffron. Cover and simmer until water is absorbed. Approximately 30 minutes.
