Slow Roasted Lemon and Herb Chicken
Ingredients
- 1 6-8 lb Whole raw chicken
- 1 1/2 tbsp Mrs Dash table blend
- 1 tbsp Mariposa Farms Fresh Rosemary rinsed and chopped
- 4-6 sprigs Mariposa Farms Fresh Rosemary rinsed
- 2 tsp Mariposa Farms Fresh Thyme rinsed and finely chopped leaves
- 4-6 sprigs Mariposa Farms Fresh Thyme rinsed
- 1 tbsp Mariposa Farms Fresh Sage rinsed and chopped leaves
- 2-3 sprigs Mariposa Farms Fresh Sage rinsed
- 1 lg Lemon sliced
- 1 medium sized yellow onion sliced
Instructions
- Remove the chicken from its container and rinse inside and outside. Pat dry and set aside.
- Mix your spices and herbs together in a small bowl and rub down the outside with the mixture. Stuff the cavity of the chicken with the sprigs of the herbs, slices of lemon and onion.
- Place the chicken in a roaster pan and cover. Cook on low for 8-10 hours or until an instant read thermometer reads 180 degrees F.
