Ingredients
- 4 6 oz salmon fillets
- olive oil
- salt and pepper
- 1 cup Mariposa Farms Fresh Basil Rinsed thoroughly
- 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 medium sized garlic clove
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 1/4-1/2 tsp Mariposa Farms Dried Chipolte Peppers use according to desired taste

Instructions
- Drizzle the salmon fillets with olive oil and season with salt, pepper and ground chipotle if desired. Set aside to let the flavor absorb into the fillets.
- In a food processor, combine the basil, 1/2 cup olive oil, a garlic glove, lemon juice, 1/4 tsp sea salt and the ground chipotle pepper (if desired). Pulse until finely chopped, then set aside.
- Warm the grill and brush the grates with olive oil. Place the salmon fillets on the grill and grill 2-3 minutes per side or until it is done to your liking. Remove from grill and place on a serving plate.
- In a small nonstick pan, heat the chipotle basil sauce and pour over the salmon before serving. You can also serve this sauce cold if desired.
