Coconut oil has a silky pleasant texture. This recipe works with any fresh (or dried) herb of your choice. You may adjust warming time to increase or decrease the scent of the herb.

- Chop lavender into medium sized pieces. Let set out on a paper towel for at least 2 hours to reduce moisture content.
- In a double boiler add your lavender (or herb of your choice). Add your oil. Oil will be clumpy at first. Over low heat, melt oil and stir. Coconut oil has a very low melting point, be careful not to overheat. Oil should never get too hot to touch.
- Let this mixture warm for 8-10 hours.
- Strain through cheesecloth and let cool. Oil is now ready for use. Store in an airtight container. You may warm the oil slightly before using if desired.
