Memorial Day, or Decoration Day, is traditionally when we honor our fallen heroes who died while serving in the U.S. Military.

Many people also find this first long weekend of warmer weather, a great time to get together with friends and family. Cookouts, games, boating, and bonfires are the center of many of these gatherings. Using fresh herbs can add extra flavor to your favorite dishes and can make you the cookout hero!

Here is one of my own recipes. Change it up and add your favorite things to it to make it your own! You can’t go wrong!

April's Spring Salad
This is my husband's absolute favorite! Play with the ingredients by adding your own favorite vegetables or cheeses until it is perfect for you! Even try adding pepperoni or ham for added flavor.
